Former Clover Meats social club in South Kilkenny is moving forward to next step

Kilkenny County Council is looking to tender for consultants to lead a public consultation process regarding the future Clover Meats Social Centre.

The vacant site, which has been unused for several years, was acquired by Kilkenny County Council in 2023 will now be the focus of community discussions about its potential redevelopment.

Officials aim to involve residents and stakeholders in deciding the building’s future, with options including a community center, cultural venue, or commercial use, ensuring the plan reflects local needs.

Cllr. Ger Frisby told KCLR news when consultations are complete they will decide how a draft masterplan will be presented.
