Former County Carlow shop could become a home

A former county Carlow shop looks set to become a home.

Planning permission’s being sought from the council by an individual seeking a change of use to the building that previously housed The Ridge Stores in Old Leighlin.

It would see it leave retail behind to serve its future as a single residential unit with other works to be carried out on site.

The new application follows an incomplete one that was submitted in October.
