Four men have been arrested following the seizure of €7.2m worth of suspected drugs.
Under Operation Tara, gardaí and associates carried out searches at two locations in Gorey, County Wexford and Shankill in County Dublin yesterday.
They discovered 104kgs of what’s believed to be cocaine with an estimated street worth of €7,280,000 – the drugs will undergo analysis.
Added to that, €47,000 in cash was also recovered with a number of digital devices of evidential value.
One man aged in his twenties, another aged in his thirties and two in their forties were arrested under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007, and have been detained at garda stations in Wexford and the Dublin Metropolitan Region.
