French National living in Carlow reflects on NICE attacks

A French National living in Carlow has described the scenes in Nice as “horrible” following Thursdays attack.

The Islamic State news agency says the terror group was responsible for Thursday night’s attack in the south of France, in which at least 84 people died.

Three days of mourning are underway in France.

52 people are in a critical condition, a Galway man is said to be one of those injured, after a man drove a lorry at a huge crowd of people celebrating Bastille Day.

The suspect, 31-year-old French-Tunisian Mohamed Bouhlel, was shot dead by police.

Claire Bouton lives in Carlow now, but she’s originally from Bourdeax in France.
