Garda investigations continue after morning assault in Kilkenny

Investigations continue into an assault in Kilkenny this morning which left two men hospitalised.

Both aged in their twenties, they were taken to St Luke’s General Hospital for Carlow and Kilkenny after gardaí attended the scene of a reported public order disturbance shortly after 7am in the Ardboy/Bonnettstown area.

It’s understood both are in a serious but not life threatening condition and are undergoing treatment.

Anybody who was in the area between 6 and 9am, in particular those with footage of any kind, are asked to contact Kilkenny Garda Station.
