There were two separate hit-and-run incidents in Carlow last week.
Three people were injured when a ford focus crashed into the back of a taxi last Wednsday night-thursday morning.
Local Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
The worst of two hit-and-run incident’s in Carlow this time last week happened when a Blue Ford Focus crashed into the back of a taxi on Green Road Carlow.
It was near the entrance to the Southern gardens estate just before 3 am on Thursday the 17th.
Three people had to be taken to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny for treatment although their injuries are being described as minor.
The Ford focus left the scene without stopping.
Earlier on the same evening there was another hit-and-run at Castlehill in Carlow.
A mini-cooper was damage outside Rocca’s takeaway at about twenty past nine on the Tuesday night.
Again the other car left the scene and there is no description of the car this time.
Carlow gardai are asking for anyone who saw the hit-and-runs – or who saw anyting suspicious in the areas to come forward.
Gardai say they have no evidence linking the two incidents at this stage but they are investigating all Possibilities.
