Gardai urging locals to report strange activity after beer thefts in Kilkenny

“It’s better to be called and not needed, than needed and not called”

That’s the message from local gardaí – who are urging locals to report any strange activity they see to them.

It follows the theft of three beer kegs from Kilkenny Greyhound Track on the Freshford Road recently.

Publicans are now being asked to take whatever precautions possible to avoid this happening again.

Speaking to KCLR, Garda Andy Neil says anyone picking up kegs should have registered markings on their vehicles.
