Gas Networks Ireland are warning locals not to interfere with their gas meters after a Carlow woman was convicted yesterday.

The woman from Carlow Town was fined a thousand euro after it was found that an unauthorised meter was installed at her residence.

The company says that kind of interference potentially puts the lives of the household and neighbouring households at risk.
