A local Green party Councillor wants the Taoiseach to reconsider his plans to visit the White house on St Patricks Day.
Malcolm Noonan, who is the party spokesperson for Community and Local Government, says the traditional shamrock ceremony with President Donald Trump should be cancelled.
Councillor Noonan said that the President has caused chaos in his first week in office, offending people of Muslim faith and is displaying behaviour that is unbecoming of a World Leader in a democratic country.
He told KCLR news that his party is calling on our Taoiseach to represent us by taking a moral and courageous stand on this issue and on President Trump’s clampdown on free speech through the media.
