Local students in Kilkenny are being educated on the importance of road safety this week.
The annual Road Safety Roadshow is taking place in The Watergate Theatre for secondary school pupils in schools around the county.
The first of three sessions between today and tomorrow got under way this morning (Monday, May 9th).
Students will be shown short films showing what can happen during and as a result of a collision.
Speaking to KCLR at the Roadshow this morning, Sergeant Gavin Hegarty says it is a hard-hitting show.
