Hundreds of well-known personalities from the Irish radio sector are heading to Kilkenny later.
The IMRO awards are back at Lyrath Estate Hotel where the winners of about 40 categories will be revealed.
KCLR’s Shane O’Keeffe’s one of six finalists in the Local or Regional Sports Broadcaster of the Year.
Our CEO and Chair of the Independent Broadcasters of Ireland, John Purcell, says; “It’s the biggest night of the year in the Irish radio industry with people from all over the island coming to Kilkenny for the IMRO radio awards, this includes RTE and BBC, KCLR, local, regional and national stations from all over the country”.
He adds; “We’re really proud that KCLR’s Shane O’Keeffe is shortlisted for one of the really big awards tonight and a great night is guaranteed”.
