Robbie Keane was back at IT Carlow this week where he completed his professional coaching diploma.
The Republic of Ireland captain spent 2 days at IT Carlow this week joining 3rd year BA Sport and Exercise students for an intense session in coaching education
His attendance was kept low-key and he was in good company – joining him in the classroom was former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini also completing his final assessment at the college.
Both have now finished their studies for their UEFA B diploma and Robbie is now starting his UEFA A licence that could see him become a professional coach when he does eventually hang up his boots.

Course Director Paul O Reilly told KCLR news it was hard to keep their visit under the radar but they had to focus on their assessments.
