Ireland’s favourite Saint to be revealed at the National Ploughing Championships later today
Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin Denis Nulty says he's blown away by the response

Ireland’s favourite Saint will be revealed at the National Ploughing Championships later today (Thurs).
Six made the shortlist with voting continuing at Stand 326 until 4 o’clock this afternoon.
The title will fall to one of the following saints Anthony, Brigid, Martin, ‘Padre’ Pio, Patrick & Thérèse of Lisieux.
Organiser Bishop of Kildare and Leighlin Denis Nulty’s told KCLR News; “They’re a wonderful selection for people to vote and reflect on over the day”.
He adds they’ve had a huge reaction to the competition again this year; “I was amazed at people and even people emailing me as well telling me their favourite saint, they can’t get to the ploughing but they want to be involved in this, it’s an interesting hook to get people talking about faith and talking about their favourite saint and their particular devotion as well”.
