It’s set to heat up in Carlow and Kilkenny from today.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-20s in the next day or so, accompanied by sunny spells.
Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather has been telling KCLR News “You can expect another nice day and temperatures will increase a little bit, even on yesterday, so getting up to possibly 24 degrees, maybe even a little bit higher locally, some good sunny spells, a small chance of a shower bubbling up here and there but should avoid most of that in Carlow and Kilkenny so another fine day ahead and it’ll continue into tomorrow and we might even just about hold on Friday as well with warm and mainly dry weather but the risk of showers does increase a little bit”.
It’ll be short-lived though as Alan explains “Unfortunately it does look like some rain is going to push up from the southwest on Friday night and it’s going to become showery for the weekend, a risk of some heavy showers but hard to tell where they’ll hit just yet so it could be a matter of pot luck we might just escape, the Mount Juliet and Irish Open will be hoping to escape the showers but it does look like a change is on the way for the weekend and early next week”.
