Kilkennys Senior hurlers are back in another All Ireland Final after they put the boot down in the second half of yesterdays All Ireland Semi Final to see off neighbours Waterford 1-21 to 18 points
TJ Reid hit an incredible 1-9 in the match, 1-7 in the first half alone combining with Richie Hogan to get all of the cats first half scores.
Ger Aylwards move back out towards he half forward line paid dividends in the second half as he hit 4 points.
Derek McGrath’s side staged a small comeback with just over 10 minutes to go with corner forward Colin Dunford helping to reduce the gap to three with 11 minutes remaining.
Kilkenny will now await the winners of Tipperary or Galway next weekend.
There was speculation before yesterdays game about a serious injury to Richie Hogan and the fitness of Michael Fennelly and Kilkenny boss Brian Cody says for both to put in performances like they did was incredible….
