A local councillor has raised concerns over government funding for Irish Water as residents in Mooncoin continue to face ongoing supply issues.
Pat Dunphy voiced his criticism following yesterday’s Kilkenny County Council plenary meeting, where he introduced a motion urging the government to resolve the water crisis in the area.
In a statement to KCLR News, Cllr. Dunphy emphasized that access to water is “essential” for communities and stressed that current government allocations to Irish Water are inadequate to address the ongoing issues. He called for more substantial investment to ensure a reliable water supply for residents.
