The community and culture section of Kilkenny County Council are conducting a census of all community facilities across the county.
A questionnaire has been developed to collect information about what is happening within the community sector in Kilkenny.
Over the next few weeks, all community facilities, centres and halls in Kilkenny will be asked to respond to this questionnaire.
Kilkenny County Council say that collecting this information will enable them to document, and highlight the work that goes on behind the scenes to keep the community sector operating across the county.
They also say it highlights the supports and resources that need to be made available to centres and facilities in Kilkenny.
A similar process was carried out in 2009, and allowed the local authority to gain an insight into the challenges faced by community centre and facilities.
