A local athlete has taken to Facebook to express his disappointment at being removed from a flight on Saturday.
Arthur Lanigan O’Keeffe from Kilkenny was travelling to a competition as he steps up his preparations for this year’s Rio Olympics.

KCLR news understands he was asked to leave the Aer Lingus flight for having ‘fencing equipment’ in his luggage.
The Irish Independent reports today that the airline have offered him “alternative travel options and a full refund”
