Kilkenny will head to Croke Park next weekend after being drawn against Waterford in the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship.
The draw, which took place this morning, comes after a flawless group-stage campaign from Kilkenny, who made it five wins from five with a 1-12 to 1-7 victory over Wexford at the weekend.
That perfect record ensured Kilkenny topped their group and booked a place in the knockout stages, where they will now face the Déise on Saturday, July 4th.
The quarter-finals will form part of a double-header at Croke Park alongside the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals, giving Kilkenny another opportunity to perform on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
Elsewhere in the draw, Clare will take on Tipperary on Sunday, July 5th for the remaining place in the last four.
Galway and Cork have already secured automatic qualification for the All-Ireland semi-finals after topping their respective groups with victories over the weekend.
For Kilkenny, attention now turns to Waterford as they look to build on an outstanding championship campaign and take another step towards All-Ireland glory.
