The outgoing chairman of the Board of Cois Nore says he couldn’t have asked for better timing with the Kilkenny Cancer Support centre opening it’s new home this week.
The Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill cut the ribbon at the new premises ‘Cois Nore House’ on the Waterford Road yesterday.
After spearheading the fundraising campaign to bring it to fruition Dr Bill Cuddihy is due to step down from the role of Chairman shortly and will be replaced by Pat McLoughlin.
Speaking to KCLR news Dr Cuddihy paid tribute to those who supported them on the journey:
“Well, the timing couldn’t be better in the sense that that this is now coming to an end just at a time when this is completed. So, I couldn’t have asked for better and I couldn’t have asked for better in terms of the support that we had both at board level and across the community, because this is really a team effort.”
