Local Councillor has called for a new footpath linking Tinryland village with the existing footpath on the N80.
Sinn Fein representative Jim Deane believes it would drastically improve safety for pedestrians and motorists on the route.
While there have been previous proposals for the provision, the council hasn’t been able to avail of any funding for it.
Councillor Deane believes the project should be considered for funding from Carlow County Council’s €3m allocation of the Active Travel Programme.
He spoke about it to KCLR News’ Owain Comerford.
