The winner of Kilkenny’s highly anticipated Student Enterprise Awards has been unveiled, with Presentation College’s innovative ‘Bounce Back’ taking the top prize.
This creative project is a recovery journal designed to support individuals navigating the challenges of long-term injuries, offering guidance, motivation, and a structured way to track their recovery journey.
The team behind ‘Bounce Back’ has now earned the opportunity to advance to the national stage, where they will compete with other student entrepreneurs from across Ireland. The project’s emphasis on mental well-being and recovery sets it apart as an impactful and socially conscious initiative.
At yesterday’s event, Coláiste Eoin Hacketstown’s ‘Seacláid Saibhair’ claimed the Carlow award, highlighting the region’s talent for nurturing young entrepreneurs. Their winning project, a premium chocolate brand, impressed judges with its emphasis on high-quality ingredients and sustainability.
John Mulcahy, Business Advisor with Kilkenny County Council, attended the awards ceremony and expressed his admiration for the students’ hard work and creativity. Speaking to KCLR, Mulcahy emphasised the importance of the Student Enterprise Awards in fostering entrepreneurial spirit among young people.
