Lady Helen at Mount Juliet and The Cellar at Step House hotel are big winners at provincial stage of Irish Restaurant awards

Michelin star restaurants The Lady Helen and Campagne were the big Kilkenny winners at the Leinster prize giving of the Irish Restaurant awards last night.

For Carlow, the Cellar Restaurant at Step House hotel in Borris cleaned up winning Best hotel restaurant, Best chef and Best wine experience.

Lady Helen Restaurant in Mount Juliet won those 3 for Kilkenny while Campagne won best restaurant with Sha-Roe Bistro winning the Carlow title.

Lennons at Visual won best Casual dining in Carlow with FoodWorks taking that accolade in Kilkenny.

Teach Dolmain won the Carlow prize for best Gastro pub – that went to Marble city bar in Kilkenny

Best Customer service went to Clashganny house restaurant in Carlow and Cafe Sol in Kilkenny
