The latest round of JNLR figures, the measure of how many people are listening to radio in Ireland, has been released today with more positive news for radio in general and for KCLR in particular.
Across the country, almost 3.5 million adults are tuning in every weekday, reinforcing radio’s position as one of Ireland’s most consistently used and trusted media channels.
For KCLR, growth continues across a number of key areas, weekend listening enjoying a particular boost as Programme & Operations Manager Ken McGuire explains. “In a landscape where you’re up against every manner of digital device and outlet, the picture painted by the latest round of listenership results is positive for the radio sector as a whole, ourselves very much a part of that.”
“We’ve come through a period of change from late last year through early this year, and we’re delighted to see there’s a boost in listeners and market share again to our Saturdays and Sundays, while weekday shows continue to push and lead the way at peak times across the day and it’s only getting better.”
“We’re in the middle of radio mayhem right now. We’ve got a busy summer of concert and festival giveaways, live sport, new shows and loads to look forward.”
