Not one person was killed in a road traffic crash in Carlow in 2016.
That was one of the figures Gardaí put out at the launch of the county’s road safety plan at Carlow county council yesterday.

The plan runs from now until 2020 with meetings to be held a few times a year to make sure their aims are achieved.
Carlow road safety officer John McDarby says this plan is no good unless the people of Carlow take part in it..
