Locals tuning into the Oscars this Sunday will have their eyes peeled for some familiar faces on the Red Carpet.
Kilkenny animation studio Cartoon Saloon will be represented yet again as they make a second attempt to get their hands on a golden statue.

This time its Song of the Sea thats been nominated – for the Best Animated feature.
It faces some stiff competition from the likes of Big Hero 6, How to train your Dragon 2, The Boxtrolls and The Tale of Princess Kaguya.
But Director Tomm Moore told KCLR to even be nominated again is a great feeling.
