John Paul Phelan says he’s not been asked to be chairman of any Dáil committee.
He has been made a member of the new Dáil budgetary committee but he’s playing down rumours that he’ll be made chairman.
The 15-member panel will examine key decisions on next October’s budget and they’ll have the power to change it.
Deputy Phelan told KCLR he personally hasn’t heard anything about becoming chairman.
