Train drivers in Carlow, Kilkenny and around the country are to be balloted for industrial action.
The Irish Rail drivers are to be balloted because of a long-running dispute over working conditions at the company.
It’s after talks between SIPTU, the NBRU and management at the company broke down at the Work Place Relations Commission yesterday.
In a statement SIPTU says the decision to ballot drivers was made after management refused to engage in a talks process recommended by the Labour Court.
