Locals from Carlow and Kilkenny are travelling to a pro-life event in Dublin today.

Buses are leaving the two counties to go to the event called “celebrate the 8th”

It will feature a number of guest speakers and takes place in Molesworth Street.

It has been called ‘celebrate the 8th’ and will focus on what organisers say is the positive impact of the 8th amendment in Ireland.

Melissa Ohden will speak about her experience with an abortion that went wrong – while Heidi Crowter will speak about abortion as a person with down syndrome.

It takes place from 3-4pm this afternoon.
