Locals warned to apply for new passports well in advance

If you’re going on holidays this summer and need a new passport, be sure sure to apply for it at least 6 weeks in advance.

This was the warning given to Carlow people by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, who was in Tullow today at the opening of the new buildings in the school.

There were 10-thousand applications submitted for new passports last week alone.

Speaking to KCLR live today, Minister Charlie Flanagan advised people to keep a close eye on the expiry date on their passport.
