Residents and businesses in Co. Carlow are set to benefit from a major investment in Water infrastructure.
The announcement of €5.5 million was made yesterday afternoon.
The money is being used to make what’s being described as significant improvements in Network performance, security of supply and efficiency.
It will stretch across 14 kilometres of water mains, including parts of Carlow town, Bagenalstown and Tinnahinch.
Speaking to KCLR, Water Programmes Regional Lead with Irish Water, Mark O’Duffy, says work will begin almost immediately.
