Man saved from River Nore in Kilkenny City yesterday has passed away

A man who was pulled alive from the River Nore yesterday morning has since passed away in St Luke’s hospital.

KCLR News understands that the male in his 50’s was rescued from the River Nore, close to Lady Desart Bridge, at about 11am.

Gardaí, paramedics and fire personnel attended the scene. The man was brought to St Luke’s hospital in Kilkenny where he died a short time later.
