A manhunt’s underway following a spate of car thefts and attempted thefts in County Kilkenny this morning.
At least three men are understood to be involved with the possibility of a white car also connected.
A blue Kia Sorento 182 KK 319 was taken from Berkley Lawns in Thomastown – its owner rang Gardaí just after 6am as it was being driven out of the estate, sparking a chase through Dungarvan and Gowran which was later called off due to safety concerns.
It then transpired a second vehicle, a Black Fiat 500, had also taken from the same area with attempts made on two others from about 4am in Gowran and Hillview, Thomastown.
Anybody who was in the areas between 4 and 6am this morning who might have dashcam or doorbell footage is asked to contact Gardaí.
Do not approach the cars if sighted but ring 999 or Thomastown 056 7754150 or 1800 666 111.
