A man has appeared in court again today charged in connection with last week’s stabbing in Market Cross.
Ger Dowling with an address at The Sycamores, Freshford Road, Kilkenny, has been charged with assault causing harm and possession of a knife.
A man in his late 50s was stabbed a number of times around his head and arms in the Market Cross Shopping Centre in an unprovoked attack last Wednesday.
39-year-old Dowling was arrested a short time later on Parliament Street.
He’s been remanded in custody to appear again before Cloverhill district court in a fortnight’s time, on Tuesday 2nd August.
