Mary Hilda Cavanagh wants to see certain projects completed as she finishes her term as Caithearlach

The former Caithearlach of Kilkenny County Council says she enjoyed her year in office.

Mary Hilda Cavanagh handed back her chain this week following 12 months of service.

Speaking on KCLR, Mary Hilda says being Caithearlach for the 1916 celebrations was a particularly high point.

But she says there are some projects she would like to see completed in Kilkenny – including the Diageo site, the Linear Walk and the WIT research centre.
