A meeting about the future of Castlecomer Bus Service has been described as postitive

Those who attended a meeting on the future of Castlecomer’s Bus Service this week say it was a positive one.
There had been fears last year that the Bus Éireann service through the town would be completely lost, however it was then agreed that they would keep two services daily on that route for 12 months.
Local Councillor Maurice Shortall attended yesterday’s meeting with the National Trasport Authority to discuss prolonging that service.
He says that they were apprehensive about how it would go as the numbers using the buses haven’t greatly improved.
But he told KCLR today that the meeting was a positive one and they’re now waiting for the NTA to get back to them.
