Michael Flatley’s mother Eilish who’s from Co. Carlow has died aged 80

Michael Flatley’s mother – who’s from St Mullins in Co. Carlow – has died at the age of 80.

The ‘Lord of the Dance’ star announced the news on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

Eilish Flatley emigrated to the United States in 1947 with her husband Michael Senior who died last year.

He was laid to rest in St Mullins.

Writing on Facebook, Michael Junior said “words cannot express his family’s sadness at this time”
