Junior Minister for Housing, Damien English will be paying a visit to Rathvilly today to officially open 10 new houses there.
And it seems the Minister is bringing more good news in terms of housing for Carlow town with 26 new houses to be developed at Sleaty in Graiguecullen almost immediately.
Deputy Pat Deering says its very welcome news that the project that has been in the pipeline for some time has finally been approved.
It comes as the county council approved planning for more than 120 houses around the county – 63 of those also in Rathvilly.
But for today, 10 families will be moving into the recently constructed houses in Fr Flood Avenue.
