Planning Minister Simon Coveney has agreed to meet with Councillors in Kilkenny about the Waterford boundary extension.
The Minister will travel down to Kilkenny tomorrow evening to meet with local politicians at the ClubHouse Hotel to hear their concerns over the recommendations made by the boundary commission last week.
It’s not clear whether the gathering will just include Fine Gael members of the council or all elected members.
Meanwhile Kilkenny County Council will sit for a special meeting at 3 o’clock this afternoon to discuss the financial and other implications of moving the Waterford county boundary.
