Motorist clocked driving more than double the speed limit in Carlow

One person’s been arrested after they were found to be doing more than double the speed limit in Carlow Town.

On Friday evening Gardaí conducting an Operation Lifesaver speed-check on Green Lane detected a vehicle driving at 115km per hour in a 50km per hour zone.

The driver was charged with dangerous driving with court proceedings to follow.
