MRI Scanner for St Luke’s Hospital given the green light by the HSE

The HSE has given its approval for the long-awaited MRI scanner in St Luke’s Hospital.

Local TD John Paul Phelan says the hospital got confirmation from the Health Service yesterday that the project can now go to the design phase and then to the build phase.

He says it’ll prevent over 250 patients having to travel to Dublin or Waterford for their scans.

Speaking to KCLR Live this morning, Deputy Phelan says it’s great news for the local hospital.
