Municipal mayor hopeful of getting budget implemented

The Mayor of Carlow’s Municipal District is hopeful that the budget which was agreed yesterday by the council will be implemented next year.

It’s contingent on the overall county council budget, which will be around three quarters of a million euro in deficit, on receiving government assistance.

Fintan Phelan says the council had to agree on a budget yesterday due to statutory time lines.

The Fianna Fail Councillor says its a positive budget.
