The words of the New Mayor of Carlow speaking about a new initiative he’s establishing for the year ahead.

Fianna Fail Councillor Fintan Phelan was elected to the position on Friday night – he replaces John Cassin.

Speaking to KCLR after his election, Fintan says giving young people in Carlow a voice is his top priority.

And he says this new forum he’s establishing will give the young people of Carlow a platform to air their views to the council.
