No new management has been found for Kilkenny and Carlow’s Dog Shelter.
In August of last year the ISPCA announced that they would be withdrawing from the pound this week.
The 28th of February was supposed to be the last day that the animal welfare charity would be running the dog shelter in Paulstown.
However, Kilkenny County Council has confirmed today that following a recent tender process to select a new provider for the service, the independent panel couldn’t identify any suitable applicants.
This means that the process will now have to begin all over again.
In the meantime, the ISPCA has agreed to remain in place until this new tender process concludes.
