One person dead and another seriously injured following crash on N24 close to Tipperary / Waterford border
Anybody who was on the stretch close to Kilsheelan between 1 & 1:30pm this afternoon is asked to contact Gardaí

One person has died following a crash on the N24 earlier today.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident which happened after 1 o’clock this afternoon between Carrick on Suir & Clonmel, near Kilsheelan close to Tipperary’s border with Waterford.
A man aged in his forties who was driving a van was pronounced dead shortly after the collision with his body removed to the mortuary at Tipperary University Hospital.
While a woman, also aged in her forties, who was driving a car was seriously injured and is being treated at University Hospital Waterford.
Gardaí remain at the scene this evening where a technical examination’s to be carried out.
The N24 route is closed at Kilsheelan with local diversions in place.
Gardaí in Clonmel are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
In particular they’d like to hear from anybody in the area between 1pm & 1:30pm who might have any form of footage to come forward.
