The Ukrainian President has touched down on Irish soil for his first official visit here today.
A robust security operation is underway as Volodymyr Zelensky’s set to meet President of Ireland Catherine Connolly at Áras an Uachtaráin this morning before he addresses both houses of the Oireachtas later this afternoon.
The government is set to confirm an extra €100 million in non-lethal aid for Ukraine as the war with Russia continues.
There’s been some criticism of the spend around today’s visit but Carlow Kilkenny TD John McGuinness, who will be at today’s gathering with the President, defends it;
