One person’s in hospital after being found in the Mount Leinster area in a ‘serious condition’ yesterday.
South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association (SEMRA) received a call at 8:30am from Gardaí asking that they help in the search for a missing person.
They were joined by the Search & Rescue Dog Association (SRDA) and a drone team from Carlow Civil Defence.
The individual was located and vital treatment carried out by advanced paramedics before being carried by stretcher to a waiting vehicle which transferred them to an ambulance.
SEMRA says in a social media posting “Today was a multi agency response with a positive outcome. Our thanks to An Garda Síochána, Civil Defence and SARDA for their invaluable help today. Our thoughts are with the casualty and we wish them the best in their recovery”.
