Plans are set to be drawn up for new landscaping projects on roundabouts in South Kilkenny following a joint meeting of the Piltown and Waterford municipal districts.
The new initiatives will focus on improving the appearance and environmental sustainability of key roundabouts in the Ferrybank, Slieverue, and Newrath areas.
Local businesses have agreed to sponsor the projects, contributing to the enhancement of these high-traffic locations.
Kilkenny Councillor Ger Frisby, who shared the update with KCLR, highlighted the importance of the Newrath roundabout, noting its central location and high visibility from Kilkenny into Waterford.
He expressed optimism that these landscaping efforts will not only beautify the area but also promote environmental sustainability in the region.
