Plans to allow private developers build wastewater treatment plants has been welcomed by a Carlow councillor

A Carlow councillor has welcomed the decision by the government to allow the construction of wastewater treatment plants by private developers.

Public tender experts are raising concerns over the plans up until now, only Uisce Eireann has been allowed do this.
