The opening of the Station House Centre in Carlow has received a warm reception locally.
Minister for Social Protection, Rural Development, and Gaeltacht Affairs, Dara Calleary, officially launched the project this morning before visiting other initiatives in Fenagh and Graiguecullen.
The former fire station has been transformed into a Community Enterprise Hub, providing offices and a training room to support local businesses and remote workers.
The project received funding from the Town and Rural Village Fund, alongside support from Carlow County Council.
Minister Calleary expressed his hope to see more similar hubs developed in communities nationwide, emphasising the importance of such spaces for local development and employment opportunities.
The Minister spoke with our Brian Redmond on The KCLR Daily and you can listen to the full interview below.
Anna Lynch from the KCLR Newsroom was at the event and she spoke with officials and business owners at the event.
